Last year was certainly an eventful one for Australian immigration, with major changes to the skilled migration occupation lists taking place in April and July and the sudden announcement that the 457 Visa would be replaced with a new TSS Visa in March 2018. • An update on further proposed amendments to employer sponsored skilled occupation lists by the Department of Employment,

Posted by Alberto Fascetti on Dec 15, 2017 11:06:38 PM

2017 has been a challenging year for small businesses hoping to expand their workforce with skilled overseas employees.

In April this year the federal government announced that the 457 (Temporary) Skilled Visa would be replaced with a new TSS Visa in March 2018, with fewer eligible occupations and limited pathways to permanent residence in Australia.
